Formerly in the posession [sic] of "Mary K," who is probably Mary Kimball, my maternal grand-mother of Lowell, MA"; copy of a letter, dated 19 September 2023, from independent scholar Keith Arbour, Cambridge, Massachusetts, to Sue Trent, Wenham, Massachusetts, regarding this copy, its provenance, and its to MSU, available in MSS 466.
Copy 2: Laid-in materials (now available in MSS 466): Folded scrap of blue paper with early manuscript cure "to cure a Cough" (found between pages 24 and 25); printed bifolium ("A month with Jesus" by Mrs. C. L. Goodell; a Congregationalist publication), with penciled name at head of page [1] ("Mary K.") and "From the handbook for 1896" header printed on page [4] (found between pages 102 and 103); piece of lined paper pasted to pink card stock, with manuscript recipe on the former ("Buckwheats") (found between pages 102 and 103); clipping, torn in two, from an unidentified 19th-century newspaper (column headed "The housekeeper") containing recipes and household hints (found between pages 108 and 109).
