Mennen Williams [1911-1988] was the 41st governor of Michigan, serving from 1949 to 1961); typewritten letter on governor's office letterhead from G. Mennen Williams to Russell B. Nye, dated 29 June 1953, regarding the presentation of this book to Nye, and praising Nye's "helping me with formulating important speeches", found laid in and now available (with envelope) in MSS 466, Box 7, Folder 133.
