Note:	Ms. Many recipes are ascribed to individuals by initial or name. On page [266], inverted, are the name Isaac Nodder and the date 1753; on the same page and also inverted with respect to the recipes, though in a casual and more modern-looking hand, is written: "The property of A Tansley [?] 65 Stroue [?] Rd E4 Forest Gate." On pages 256-[262], inverted, are examples for writing bonds and legal papers; recipes occupy available space on pages 256, [259] and [261] and continue to the end of the book, including the pastedown inside the back cover. Two ms. recipes on slips of paper laid in, one of which is addressed on verso: "For Mrs Nodder". A purchase of the Beatrice V. Grant endowment fund.
