Daughters of the dust / a Geechee Girls production ; produced, written, and directed by Julie Dash.

In 1902, the Gullah Peazant family, descendants of slaves, live on the Sea Islands off the coast of Georgia and South Carolina. Most of the family is moving to the mainland and to the North. Their departure causes upheaval within the family.
