Description
Summary:
In limbo between prison and freedom, parolees face the temptations of society but are bound by the restrictions of their release. This combination can sometimes lead to disastrous results. The difficult job of supervising these convicts falls to parole officers. Ride along with the 5 elite officers of New York's Special Offenders Unit, whose job it is to oversee the "worst of the worst" parolees. Follow them as they bust violators, conduct curfew visits and shake down suspects in the aftermath of a horrendous rape and beating. See how the job of parole officers has become more and more enforcement oriented, and learn why these men wear bullet-proof vests and carry cuffs and guns.
