Dr. Mahlon Sharp and his wife Mary Sharp recall their experiences during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in this sound track from a video interview entitled, A Michigan couple at Pearl Harbor. They describe the bombing and strafing runs by the Japanese planes on Oahu, the destruction and death they witnessed and caring for wounded amid the chaos. Dr. Mahlon also talks about his deployment with the 24th Division to Australia, New Guinea and the Philippines, the level of care given at military field hospitals and his duties as a military doctor.
