Summary:
In August 1983, Captain Thomas Sankara seizes power in the former French colony of Upper Volta, pushing for economic and social change and soon changing the name of the country to Burkina Faso. Four years later Sankara is assassinated. While the inhabitants of Burkina Faso continue to live with the memory of a failed revolution, this documentary reveals the price of the country's stability: no democratic change and no access to the wealth of the country. The film includes a survey of the history of Upper Volta and French colonialism in West Africa.
