Description
Note:Handwritten recipe book of approximately 88 pages. "The composite arranges a balanced mix of sweets, savories, vegetables and meats, but it is enhanced some by the presence of occasional oddities (e.g., Kromeskys, which seems to be an Eastern European stew; Bologna sausage; Mock pigeon), and, more frequently, for that era, the unusual specificity of measurements for ingredients." (Bookseller's description)
At back of book are directions for preparing items for home use, including soap recipes; remedies for small pox, diptheria, and burns; and concoctions for preventing tools from rusting and preserving wood in the ground.
