545 |a The Michigan Right to Work protest was held on December 11th-13th 2012 at the State Capital Building in Lansing, Michigan. The rally worked to protest the Republican led Michigan House and Michigan Governor Rick Snyder’s support of a Right to Work bill. Deemed by organized labor as union busting, Governor Snyder defended his support as pro-worker. The bill passed making Michigan the twenty-fourth state in the US to enact such measures. Supporters of the measure cite the increase of jobs while opponents believe that although more jobs might be generated, it is at the expense of lower wages and benefits to all workers.
