Michigan State University Professor Emeritus Pauline Adams traces her life in East Lansing back to 1947 when she and her husband, future MSU President Walter Adams and their infant son Jim, arrived at Michigan State College from New York City. Adams recalls her youth in Brooklyn, meeting Walter on a blind date, living in Cherry Lane housing, and making her own mark teaching for nearly 60 years in American Thought and Language Department. She also recalls life on campus and the trying times during her husband's stint as university president. She says she has no regrets about the life she has led. Adams is interviewed by host Mark Bashore for the "Voice of Experience" segment on the WKAR radio program "Current State."
