"In this unique collaboration, students from Michigan State University's Residential College in the Arts and Humanities (RCAH) teamed up with students in the university's College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) to work with Latino elementary students in Lansing, Michigan. Through this semester-long collaboration, the three groups worked collectively to produce a series of stories focusing on the experiences of Latino youth in Michigan, as well as an accompanying portfolio of screenprinted illustrations. Nuestros cuentros/Our stories publishes these moving stories and artworks for the first time. This type of social justice project is at the core of the RCAH's educational mission."--Back cover.
