Summary:
Science fiction drama set in Los Angeles in the 1990's about a whole culture of aliens called "Newcomers" who land in the Mojave Desert and are allowed refuge by the U.S. government. In L.A. alone, there are 300,000 Newcomers, and Detective James Sykes, a veteran police officer, is out to avenge the death of his partner who was killed by one of the extra-terrestrials. Sykes' new partner Sam Francisco turns out to be the force's first Newcomer, and together they uncover a trail of murder leading to the worst drug epidemic ever to hit Planet Earth.
