Kát'a Kabanova / music, Leoš Janáček ; stage production by Nikolaus Lehnhoff ; producer, John Miller ; directed for television by Derek Bailey ; co-produced by TVS in association with Channel 4 and Poorhouse Productions.

Tobias Hoheisel's designs combine bare outlines with the neurotic colors of Edvard Munch's expressionistic world, while Nikolaus Lehnhoff's production realistically depicts the suffocating and frustrated emotions that are destroying a straight-laced middle-class household.
