Summary:
In 1963, amidst the civil rights movement that was tearing the nation apart, one hate crime became notorious: the bombing of the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, Ala. which killed four young African America girls. Now, in 1998, the FBI has reopened the case, and Tom Cherry's memories are recalled about the turbulent years of his childhood. He is forced to come to terms with his past, facing his father's possible involvement with the KKK, and his part in the crime. With the help of his friend, Tom finds the strength to testify against his father.
