President Barack Obama leads a town hall meeting in Fairfax, Virginia moderated by CNN anchor Anderson Cooper. Obama outlines his views regarding gun control and second amendment rights. The President describes his recent executive actions which make it easier to conduct background checks and expand the reach of background checks to include purchases at gun shows and some private purchases. Obama likens these executive actions to increasing safety regulations for cars, medicine, and toys. The President answers questions from the audience including Taya Kyle, wife of the late veteran Chris Kyle; Kimberly Corban, a pro-gun victim of rape; Cleo Pendleton, mother of the late Hadiya Pendleton a 15 year old killed in a shooting in Chicago; Paul Babeu, Sheriff of Pinal County, AZ; Michael Pfleger, a Roman Catholic Priest in Chicago, IL; Kris Jacob, Vice President of the American Firearms Retailers Association; astronaut Mark Kelly; and high school student Trey Bosley, whose brother was murdered in a shooting.
