Enrique was the brother of Sgt. Martinez who was the first soldier from Bay County Michigan to die in action during the Vietnam War. The items in the collection were collected by Enrique between 1966 when Tomas was killed in action through 2003 when he actively quit collecting. Enrique was born in 1943 and died in 2007. Enrique led to establish the local chapter named American GI Forum. Tomas V. Martinez Chapter. | ||
