The National Turfgrass Evaluation Program (NTEP) is a cooperative effort between the non-profit National Turfgrass Evaluation Program, Inc., and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). NTEP is headquartered at the Beltsville Agricultural Research Center (BARC) in Beltsville, Maryland USA. The National Turfgrass Evaluation Program (NTEP) is one of the most widely-known turfgrass research programs in the world collecting and summarizing information such as turfgrass quality, color, density, resistance to diseases and insects, tolerance to heat, cold, drought and traffic.
