Biographical Sketch:	Madeline Ver Planck (1921 - 2009), known professionally as Martha Dixon, was born in Adrian Michigan in 1921. She held numerous positions in the food and hospitality fields ranging from northern Michigan to Florida and the Bahamas. In 1954, she was chosen to host the television cooking show 'The Copper Kettle' at WJIM-TV in Lansing, Michigan. That thirty-minute live production turned into a full production sixty minute 'Martha Dixon Show' and ran for twenty-five years.
