Biographical Sketch:
The Collegiate Association for the Research of Principles (C.A.R.P) was founded by Korean Reverend Sun Myung Moon through his church, the Unification Church. C.A.R.P.'s mission statement is "To inspire and empower students to be global citizens by engaging them in the study and application of Unification Principles." (http://carplife.org/about-us-2/) The Michigan State University chapter reflected this mission and also demonstrated pacifism and anticommunist sentiment. At the time the flyers were published, C.A.R.P was not an official student organization registered with Michigan State University.
