Your stories are my stories : a Palestinian oral history project.

"This oral history project is not just a research effort. It is rather more a dialogue between the generations. The oral histories have been collected by students at a very difficult time in their life; when they were trying to come to terms with the emergency situation that occurred during the Al Aqsa Intifada (October 2000 till present-day). In fact, some of the stories were told during moments of shelling and electricity cut-offs. (What can one do at such moments other than tell stories?) The special setting adds to a conversation that is at times highly charged, intimate and personal. The stories of the parents and grandparents turned out to be, or to become, the students' own stories as part of an unbroken Chain of Palestinian living and history. As some of the students commented, the stories are like a gift from one generation to the next. in other words, the interviews, although ostensibly about the past, are as much about giving meaning to a confusing and terrifying present and future.
