He had been using marijuana. It looks as if a band of dope peddlers have launched a full scale operation in the city and are selling their merchandise to high school students. Friday and the cops have to track down the man known as "The Big Tomato." Jack Webb portrays Detective Sargent Joe Friday. Barton Yarborough portrays Sgt. Ben Romero. The script is based on a real case from LAPD police featuring authentic depictions of the modern police detective including methods and technical language.
