This collection consists of commercial music CDs from Sony BMG from 2005. Each has one of two software programs: Extended Copy Protection or MediaMax CD-3 which Sony BMG implemented as a copy protection measure.

When a user plays the CD on a computer, the software installs onto the user⁰₉ś computer and modifies the operating system to restrict CD copying. Often users did not realize that it was installed because it uses a cloaking function to prevent anit-virus software from detecting them and the software was not easily to uninstall. | ||
