He comments on the dramatic rise in automobile accidents and car related fatalities, then lists in detail numerous traffic accidents in the area. Dunbar reports on a new plant coming to Cassopolis, plans to build a new $20,000 football stadium for Coldwater Highschool, a church in Ada is celebrating its 100th anniversary, and Decatur Michigan elects a Celery Queen from the local highschool for its upcoming Celery Festival. Hugh Harper relays various lighter news articles, describes the upcoming Red Flanel Festival in Cedar Springs, and reads a humorous poem by one of its residents.
