Description
Summary:
In an installment of the radio program "Your governor," Michigan Governor G. Mennen "Soapy" Williams lists the various properties and institutions run by the state and claims Michigan's rapidly growing population has led to the necessity for vast improvements to our hospitals, medical and veterinarian schools, and the fire proofing of mental hospitals. As a new source of income to pay for the 28 million dollars in expansion, he proposes a corporation profit tax. In addition, Gov. Williams introduces a new state commission on Americanism and asserts that "American way of life is the best way for all of the people."
