Copy 2: This copy was found by Park County Library System in Cody, Wyoming as they were weeding their collection. On the front paste-down is an inscription that reads, "Mary P. Watzel, Michigan State University Group, 137 rue Pasteur, Apt. 14, Saigon, Vietnam," indicating that this book once belonged to MSU employee Mary P. Watzel who worked as a secretary for the group in Vietnam from 8/2/56- 5/5/59, according to official documents. According to Wikipedia, "The Michigan State University Vietnam Advisory Group (commonly known as the Michigan State University Group and abbreviated MSUG) was a program of technical assistance provided to the government of South Vietnam as an effort in state-building by the US Department of State." Watzel died in 1962 and the book somehow ended up at the Park County Library in Wyoming, circa 1971 and remained in circulation through 2002. According to the letter (laid in) from Leslie Colin Tribble, Technical Services Supervisor at Park County Library System, both Cody and Powell, Wyoming have strong ties to MSU through their Star Scholarship program. Book has typical library markings and stamps from Park County Library. Letter from Tribble to MSU Libraries Development Officer, dated 5 May 2021, is laid in.
