Numbering Peculiarities

Two schemes of numbering: cover "#19" = "overall series #30". The word "overall" is not present at first: cover "#8" = "vol. 4, series #18" (copyright 1989). Two issues with overall no. 18 exist, with cover nos. 7 & 8 respectively. Two issues with overall no. 24 exist, with cover nos. 13 & 14 respectively. Two issues with overall no. 31 exist, with cover nos. 20 & 21 respectively. Two issues with overall no. 49 exist, with cover nos. 38 & 39 respectively. "Overall series" or "series" numbering is used in MSU Library shelving, with the small letter "b" added to the number of the second in cases of repeated numbering.
