Lying woman / a novel by Jean Giraudoux ; translated from the French by Richard Howard.

A novel written when Giraudoux was nearly 80, about a man and a woman and a love affair. The author suppressed it during his lifetime, presumably due to content taken from his personal life. Though known as a playwright, the author shows prose gifts here that add to his stature.
