LCK."; former Dewey shelf-mark inscribed in pencil on front paste-down and leaf a1v: "512 C617"; remnant of a due-date sheet pasted to verso of second rear fly-leaf (former rear paste-down?); pocket for check-out card pasted to inside of lower board (author's name, call number, and accession number [?] typewritten at head, along with ink stamp: "Rare Book Room"); inscription at foot of verso of second rear fly-leaf: "pH 6/'78/JF".

MSU: Upper corner of leaf 2Q1 damaged and repaired with newer paper (page number on verso slightly affected).

In full contemporary panel-stamped pig skin over wooden boards; Christogram stamped in center of both boards; tooling on boards incorporates Classical heads in profile in wreaths; blind-tooled spine; four raised bands on spine; "Algebra Clauij" inscribed at head of spine in an early hand; fragment of a paper spine label, inscribed "II X"(?); former Dewey shelf-mark written in white on spine; two metal clasps on fore-edge of boards (mounted to alum tawed strips on lower board); red edges.
