Sumter (Barque) logbook, 1858.
This collection contains the logbook of the commercial sailing vessel "Sumter". The logbook records a round-trip voyage from Boston to Chile in 1858. The ship (barque) was commanded by Captain Bela B. Berry. Two pages of the log were later used as a scrapbook for published poetry and articles.
