The narrative of Whiting Sweeting : who was executed at Albany the 26th of August, 1791. : Containing, an account of his trial before the Supreme Court of Judicature of the state of New-York, at the July term, 1791, for the murder of Darius Quimby, the substance of the charge of his honor the chief-justice to the jury, with the sentence of death on the prisoner-- an address to the public, on the fatal consequences of a life spent in sin, instances in his own conduct--setting forth the great necessity of remembering our Creator in the days of our youth, and practising [sic] religion and virtue in our whole lives--with an address to his parents, brothers and sisters, wife and children, and many others; : also a brief account of him by William Carter, from his first confinement till the time of execution.
