A SUMMARY OF MAJOR POINTS SHOWED THAT PRIMARY GROUPS, BUREAUCRATIC STRUCTURES, AND THEIR LINKAGES MUST BE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT IF ONE IS TO UNDERSTAND THE WAY SCHOOL-COMMUNITY CONTACT MIGHT AFFECT THE CHILDREN'S ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE.
