The material in this catalog has been compiled to serve as a ready reference for teachers to assist them in locating outdoor education materials and obtaining environmental student project assistance available from government departments and private organizations within the province of Manitoba. Part 1 lists agencies that can provide speakers, assist with programs, serve as consultants, and support field trip experiences. Guidelines for camps and field trips, including communication, financing, resource personnel, equipment and safety procedures, timetables, student discipline, and transportation, are suggested. Part 2 lists the publications and audio-visual resources available from the following sources: the Provincial Departments of Manitoba (including: the Department of Agriculture; the Department of Industry, Trade and Tourism; the Department of Education and Training; and the Department of Natural Resources); the federal Departments of Canada (including: the Forestry Service; the Wildlife Service; the Department of Fisheries and Oceans; the National Film Board; and the Parks Service); and private organizations (including: Ducks Unlimited Canada, and the Manitoba Forestry Associations).
