|a This study describes the conflict between Curtis merchants and the Dept. of Natural Resources over the official designation of use of the public access site at Curtis--camping or day-use. The first sections of the report focus on the history of use and controversy surrounding the Curtis Access Site and a detailed inventory of the public access sites and camping grounds in the area. Remaining sections compare characteristics of other access sites and campgrounds in the area. Alternative methods of solving the controversy and the Commission's recommendations are included.
