Newspaper clipping of recipe for "Maple sugar frosting" adhered to title page. Heavy marginalia, notes and recipes throughout book. Some manuscript recipes include: fritters or biscuits, lemon pie, currant jelly, cottage pudding (x2), starch pudding, various other puddings, Harrison cake, Washington pie, pineapple ___?, apple jam, ice cream, tea cake, cream cakes, waffles, fancy pie, squash cake, plum pie, "suer(?)" pudding, butternuts, muffins, etc.
