Note:Concerning the petitioners' request for indemnity for the loss of the ship, Allegany, and part of her cargo, while chartered in service to the United States, and seized by the British in the Bay of Gibraltar, and condemned as lawful prize by the British Court of Admiralty at that place during the War of 1812.
