Katie encounters two men at eerie Porter's Pond who tell her about their attempt to fly across the Atlantic. Katie realizes that the aviators are ghosts caught in a terrible cycle, and unless she can help them, these brave men are doomed to repeat their ill-fated flight each time the fog rolls in.
