Description
Summary:
Southward, ho!: Roy's first film with Gabby Hayes, who inherits a half-interest in the Twin Springs ranch in Texas after the Civil War ends and hires Roy to be his foreman. Roy discovers that the former Union officer who is the government's chief law enforcement official and tax collector is also the head of an outlaw gang.
The Arizona kid: While Roy and Gabby are visiting friends in Missouri, the Civil War breaks out. A local gang, Val McBride and his Rebel Raiders, are killing, looting, and creating a bad reputation for the Confederate Army, and Roy and Gabby set out to stop them.
Young Buffalo Bill: Roy is Buffalo Bill and Gabby Hayes his sidekick in the New Mexico territory of the 1860's. They are asked by Gabby's former commanding officer to keep an eye on his son, who is conducting a land survey.
Young Bill Hickok: Roy as Wild Bill Hickok and Sally Payne as Calamity Jane foil the plans of a European agent to seize western territory and control of California's wealth by forcing the state to break away from the union during the Civil War.
Down Dakota way: Roy visits his hometown of Sun Rock, en route to a Wild West show in Cheyenne, and ends up investigating the murder of a veterinarian who was killed after a bus holdup by the stepson of his old teacher, Dolly Paxton.
Robin Hood of the Pecos: Roy is Vance Corbin, who battles a band of the carpetbaggers plundering the South after the Civil War.
Sunset in El Dorado: Lucille Wiley (Dale Evans) is on the run from her fiancé, Cecil Phelps, and Aunt Dolly when she visits the Golden Nugget in the ghost town of El Dorado. After her arrival, she dreams that a fighting cowboy, Roy Rogers, saves her.
Under California stars: Trigger is stolen by horse rustlers as Roy prepares to celebrate his tenth anniversary in pictures with a special broadcast. High adventure ensues.
