Description
Summary:
Traces anti-Semitisim from its earliest manifestations in antiquity to the recent outbreaks in Germany, Russia, and elsewhere. The first program considers the charge, which began with the earliest writings of Christianity, that Jews were responsible for Jesus' death. Shows how this destructive dogma affected Jews throughout the centuries in Italy, Spain, England and Germany. The second program shows how anti-Semitism flourished with growing nationalism in Europe, causing a mass exodus of Jews from Russia, Poland and Austria. Also discusses the rise of neo-Nazism among German youth. The third program looks at relations between Arabs and Israelis. Explores the political turmoil that has caused much conflict between them and looks at the anti-Jewish propaganda circulated in the Arab world today.
