Description
Summary:
To date, nearly 20,000 American troops have been wounded in the war in Iraq. This film follows Army Ranger Jeremy Feldbusch, severely wounded during his Iraq tour, through his bittersweet homecoming. Shrapnel sliced through his brain and left him blind, with seizures and serious psychological problems. Feldbusch's hands-on family works tirelessly to help him regain a sense of normalcy, but many are released from hospitals with not much more than a hospital gown, mounting debt and no idea what to do or where to turn for help. As Feldbusch struggles to regain his independence, he finds much-needed help and a sense of purpose from the Wounded Warrior Project, an organization that helps injured vets secure crucial resources to get through rehabilitation and back into the "normal" world.
