After thirty years as a clerk in a large corporation, Ugo Fantozzi retires, filling his time by helping with the shopping, babysitting his grand-daughter, taking a trip to Venice, and learning golf. Still bored, he forges documents to get a new job but in the end becomes a total hypochondriac.
