A Czech gendarme joins a new unit on the border with West Germany, which is struggling to combat the activities of smugglers. Drama set in a village on the border between Czechoslovakia and Germany. A gendarme joins a new unit of 'Excisemen' who are struggling to combat the smuggling of goods and people across the border with Bavaria (via a swamp) and falls in love with a local shopkeeper, whose husband has mysteriously disappeared. The unit eventually discovers who is behind the smuggling, and breaks the smuggling ring. |
