German jets & V1 and V2 flying bombs.
The Messerschmitt Me-262, was the first operational jet fighter, and the Arado AR-234 the first operational jet bomber. Because the British air defenses proved very effective against the Me-262, Germany developed the unmanned V1 flying bomb and V2 rocket to exact revenge.
