The Harvey Matusow Archive relates to the life and work of Harvey Matusow and predominantly covers 20th century 'alternative culture' in New York and London. Matusow edited, published and contributed to a number of underground press titles. From his collection, we include copies of East Village Other, IT, Friends, Frendz, INK, OZ, Crawdaddy and Forum. In the late 1960s, Matusow became involved with the Anti-Computer Campaign, establishing the 'International Society for the Abolition of Data-Processing Machines'. We include articles, reviews, and scripts written by Matusow relating to his concern over the development and growth of technology.
