Bernard Pras forces a meeting between high and low culture with He is an irony, humor and ingenuity, embodying the consumerist era in which he grew up, influenced by his childhood years spent in the grocery store of his two grandmothers, surrounded by objects and various goods is Louis XIV figured in toilet paper, or David Bowie in plastic toys, installations of Bernard Pras reinvent the past and reconstruct the present. Housing both figuration and abstraction, his work deconstructs art and the world for the put in perspective.
