LC issue with call number PE1119.A1 N5 1850h has the peculiarities of arrangement, dates, etc. ascribed by Winship to the 11th edition, third revision: pages [1]-[4] (preceding title page) include advertisements dated 1844, 1849, 1850.
"A society of ladies was formed in Boston, in the time of Mr. Whitefield, for improvement in personal piety ... The Society met weekly for prayer, 'reading some sound and serious book,' singing, and other exercises adapted to 'spiritual edification.' ... This edition of the New England primer, is a reprint and fac-simile of one of those owned and used by that society."--Advertisement, page [3].
