Wes Aoki's mother, who was 22 years old, was outside Hiroshima when the bomb dropped but went into the city to help. They talk about their experiences during and after the bombing, and Kikue also talks about her husband and his family's experiences. Wes talks about how his mother and father met and were married through an arranged marriage, and Kikue and Nobuko also talk about marrying and immigrating to the United States. Wes talks about his mother's health issues and how they might be related to the bombing, and they talk about getting their genbaku techō and hibakusha identity.
